Probiotics are a buzz word in today’s natural health landscape, but did you know you don’t have to buy pills or rely on trendy yogurt to get the goods? Learn how to make your own probiotic filled goodies like pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi and more from the dynamite duo of Bryan and Brian. Bryan Davis is a lacto-fermentation expert of askbryan.com fame and Brian Doyle of sowfood.com is a local chef passionate about wholesome foods. Together they will demonstrate how to put food by using ancient pickling techniques and feature recipes using these perky goodies once they’re ready to eat. Menu: overview of fermentation and pickling- guidelines and safety tips; caraway seed sauerkraut with pork loin; risotto with Euro-pickled veggies; yogurt dressing with lamb shish-kababs; kimchi with buckwheat noodles.
